STORM

So after a previous rant on the battle to gain work experience, i finally managed to gain some!
Working at Storm Model Management was possibly the most interesting and exciting week of my life.
As soon as i arrived (an hour too early!) i had to sign a confidentiality form, to ensure that no unauthorised information was leaked to the press. This obviously set my mind racing...what sort of things might i encounter...or overhear?!?! However it also means i am prevented from revealing too much information, though I will round up my week in short!

The week that i was working happened to be in the run up to London Fashion Week, so was incredibly hectic, in fact so much so that the entire office was expected to stay until midnight to deal with the various model/booking/designers/flights and accommodation requirements.

I was the run-around, which in any other company i might have dealt with rather begrudgingly.

However we didn't just deal with mundane chores, like collect dry cleaning, or choose birthday cards (!!!!!)
-We had to get keys cut and then deliver them to the flats
-Collect the extra accommodation flat keys for various celebs
-Research and choose hotels ranging from; low budget, medium, and boutiques (for the likes of the Kates!!)
-Put together models' portfolios
-Make spreadsheets containing the models' fashion week walks
-Return designer clothes to various fashion houses (Versace included)

Half of these tasks involved being collected and transported by the company's Mercedes, complete with 'Storm' plastered across the side!

It was an exhausting but amazing experience, which i am repeating at Christmas, this time to work closely with the PR team in the hope of gaining magazine contacts!
